1. What These Terms Cover
These terms apply when you send music to Boreal through the form on this website or by email to submit@borealmusicgroup.com. When you tick the agreement box and submit, you accept these terms, including the publication permission in section 8 and the revenue arrangement in section 5. That permission only takes effect if we select your track.
2. Who We Are
Boreal Music Group is the parent brand of independent music and audio channels on YouTube, operated by Elias Gustavo Gonçalves de Araújo, an individual based in Brazil. Our current channels are:
Boreal is not a music distributor, record label, music publisher or artist-management agency. We do not deliver your music to Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or any other streaming service, and we do not deliver it to distributors on your behalf.
3. How It Works
4. Free Service
Our promotional service is free. We never charge you an upfront fee or a later fee for it.
5. Revenue From the Promotional Video
6. No Guarantees
Submitting a track does not guarantee that we select it. Selection does not guarantee a publication date, views, streams, followers, engagement or any other result. Neither submission nor selection creates a recording, publishing, management or exclusive agreement, or any partnership with Boreal.
7. Ownership Stays With You
You keep all the rights you hold in your music, artwork and name. Nothing in these terms transfers any copyright or related right to Boreal. We do not require exclusivity, and you remain free to release and promote your music anywhere.
8. The Permission You Give Us
If we select your track, you give Boreal a non-exclusive, free-of-charge (royalty-free), worldwide permission, limited to the following:
This permission covers only the rights you hold. It lasts while the video remains published, subject to section 13. It does not allow us to use your track on other platforms, to sell or license it to anyone else, to make it available for others to reuse, or to distribute it to streaming services. Any other use needs your separate agreement.
9. Content ID and Allowlisting
Content ID is YouTube's system for matching uploads against audio that rights holders have registered. It is managed by your distributor or rights administrator, not by Boreal. A Content ID match, or the absence of one, does not show who owns a track, and YouTube does not check ownership before a video is published.
If we select your track, we will ask you to have the Boreal channel added to your distributor's allowlist, where your distributor offers it, so its system does not claim our video. If allowlisting is not possible, we may still publish the video. In that case, or if another rights holder claims it, YouTube may limit or block the video in some countries, reduce its reach, or send its revenue to the claimant. We may mute, edit or remove a claimed video, and we may ask for your help to resolve a claim.
10. Your Promises
By submitting a track, you confirm that:
11. Remixes, Edits and Bootlegs
Remixes, edits and bootlegs are a core part of what Boreal Music features, as a way to bring attention to both the remixer and the original song. They are built on someone else's work. An official remix is authorized by the original rights holders; an unofficial remix or bootleg is not.
The original artists and rights holders keep all their rights. Publishing an unofficial version on Boreal does not make it authorized. The original rights holders may claim the video, monetize it, block it or ask for its removal, and we will delete the video immediately when the original artist or rights holder asks us at copyright@borealmusicgroup.com. Every video description includes this contact, and credits the original artist. The artist who submits a remix or bootleg is responsible for it, as set out in sections 10 and 18. Tell us whether your remix is official when you submit it.
12. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Music
As an editorial rule, we do not accept tracks made entirely by AI. If AI was used in any part of your track, tell us where. We review AI-assisted tracks individually and select them only when the composition and production reflect genuine human creative work. This is our editorial choice. It is not a legal conclusion about whether a track is protected by copyright or who owns it.
13. Editorial Decisions, Withdrawal and Removal
14. Featuring You on Our Website
We list your name, artwork and links on this website only if you tick the separate, optional box for it. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we will remove the listing.
15. Future Platforms and Creator Use
Today we promote music only on our official YouTube channels. If we start using other platforms, such as TikTok or Instagram, we will ask for your authorization before using your track there.
In the future, Aurea : Audio Library may let content creators use some tracks in their own videos. We will do this only for tracks whose artist expressly opts in under separate terms, and we will state the conditions in the video description. Nothing in these terms gives anyone else the right to use your music.
16. Age
You must be at least 16 to submit music. If you are 16 or 17, your parent or legal guardian must also agree to these terms.
17. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content published by Boreal infringes your rights, email copyright@borealmusicgroup.com with: your contact details; the work you own; the link to the content; and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. When the request comes from the original artist or rights holder, we delete the video immediately; we review any other complaint promptly. Every Boreal video description includes this contact. You may also use YouTube's own copyright process.
18. Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of your promises in section 10. If they are untrue, you are responsible for the resulting claims and losses to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for decisions made by YouTube or by other rights holders, such as claims, blocks, demonetization or removals. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or any right that cannot be limited under applicable law.
19. Privacy and Newsletter
We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy. The newsletter is a separate, optional opt-in. It is not a condition of submitting music, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and will show the new date on this page. Changes apply to submissions made after the update; they do not change the terms that applied to a track already published, unless you agree.
21. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. This does not remove any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
22. Contact
