Boreal was founded in 2017 by Elias Gustavo, based in Brazil, as a small music curation blog. It grew into a more ambitious project of curation and promotion for independent artists, with a single mission: bringing premium-quality content to listeners and making it easy to find your next favorite song and artist. Boreal's purpose is to give small artists the global reach that the group's structure can offer.
In 2025, Boreal Music Group launched its next project, Aurea : Audio Library — a digital audio library on YouTube, offering a catalog of unique artists and soundtracks for content creators.
Boreal is currently a one-person team, built and run by its founder, Elias Gustavo.
